The La Zagaleta Golf and Country Club

Not only does the estate of La Zagaleta provide great homes to live in, there is also a strong exclusive country club feel to the place. There are many ammenities that owners can enjoy and take advantage of. There are two world championship golf courses, the first of which it designed by Bradford-Benz, the second "Los Barrancos" in the North West region of the estate was completed in 2007 at an approximate cost of €20,000,000.

There is a lake, some fantastic country walks, clay pigeon shooting and tennis facilities. The cost of joining the golf course is €120,000 induction fee the a subsequent payment of €8,000 per year to use the country club facilities. Please be aware that this is not a golf share, so is therefore non-transferable. Should other members of your family wish to join there is a €9,000 induction fee and then the residual €8,000 yearly fees.

There are riding stables that will keep your horses for you should you require it. This is not included in the country club membership fees. There are over 50km of internal roads within the estate and for those people looking for easy access, there is also a Civil Avaiation Authority registered heliport. This was the same one that Adnan Khashoggi used to use when he took his chopper for his boat in Puerto Banus back to his country estate.

There has been some additional interest in the La Zagaleta estate over the last few week, as there was a documentary on ITV, featuring the journalist Piers Morgan. He called the development "Butlins For Billionaires" which seems to over simplify the charm and kudos this place exudes. Still there is no such thing as bad publicity.
